Benefits
Shiatsu works on a deep, core level and has many
of the same benefits as acupuncture. Shiatsu can be especially
useful for musculo-skeletal problems and stress related
conditions. It can smooth out emotional highs and lows
and allow for emotional release. Shiatsu can be experienced
as energizing or relaxing, depending on what your body
most needs.
The true beauty of shiatsu is that while
it assists the healing process , it also heightens self-awareness.
If you choose to receive treatment regularly, you will
begin to observe your energetic cycles and patterns. Having
this awareness empowers you to make decisions which better
serve your health.
I was trained in Five Element Shiatsu,
which specializes in meridian therapy based upon diagnosis
of the patient's constitutional
factor. Because Five Element shiatsu is rooted in
five element energetics,
it can benefit any physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual
issue.
What to Expect
Each shiatsu treatment lasts approximately 1 hour.
Treatments are given on a massage table and the client
remains fully dressed in loose, comfortable clothing.
The room is maintained at a comfortable temperature, and
soft music creates a relaxing and healing atmosphere.
Each 1-hour session costs $75.
